Designing a Course Syllabus
Ready-to-Use Sample Syllabus

The Faculty Center for Teaching & Learning has provided the sample syllabus below as an aid to help you prepare for fall semester classes. Although syllabi can take many forms, the syllabus model you will be looking at was designed to be comprehensive and provide students all of the information they will need to clearly understand the learning goals and expectations of your course.

Please feel free to use the model as it is or to make modifications to meet your individual needs. This material contains an instructional model of what should be part of a syllabus with written suggestion.  Here is a ready-to-use model that you can complete for each of your courses.  Ready-to-Use Sample Syllabus.  Instructions for use: 1) Click to open the link below, 2) Save to your file with a different name, 3) Fill in the form as suggested, and 4) After you have filled in the form, be sure to delete the italicized written suggestions before printing.

If you have questions or suggestions concerning this syllabus sample, please call or email for help. I hope you find this helpful.
