SafeAssign is a plagiarism prevention tool for use with Blackboard products, including FerrisConnect. The tool provides instructors and students with the ability to compare assignments submitted through FerrisConnect with documents published on the Internet, as well as millions of journal articles and documents stored in databases. The originality report provides instructors the ability to determine whether and to what extent material matched referenced material. SafeAssign is fully integrated with FerrisConnect, addressing many concerns regarding student privacy and copyright.
