Application to School of Education - Level II Courses
The Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education program provides the opportunity to obtain Michigan Elementary Provisional Certification. Certification will allow an individual to teach any subject in kindergarten through fifth grade, grades sixth through eighth in minor subjects; or in self-contained classrooms, grades 6-8. Students interested in teaching Pre K, K, First or Second grades are encouraged to add the ZA endorsement on their teaching certificate; this can be accomplished by adding a third minor in Early Childhood Education.

Individuals with an interest in computers, health care and business will find that Health Information Management (formerly called Medical Record Administration) is a challenging and fulfilling career option. Many graduates are employed in hospitals, but job growth is projected to be greatest in physician’s offices and clinics, nursing homes and home health agencies.
At the end of the program, the student is eligible to apply to write the national certification examination to earn the designation of Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). The Health Information Management program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs in collaboration with the America Health Information Management Association.

Ferris State University now offers an opportunity for certified and/or licensed nuclear medicine technologists to complete a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
Designed with the working technologist in mind, the program combines specialized nuclear medicine technology courses with general education requirements. Specialized courses include advanced instrumentation, advanced imaging, advanced cardiology, research methodology and radiopharmacology. The curriculum consists of seven nuclear medicine courses as well as courses in epidemiology and statistics, supervisory practices, physics, advanced composition, biology, communications, cultural enrichment and social awareness. A faculty member will advise students on the sequence of courses and transfer equivalencies.
