Ferris State University-Grand Rapids and the Grand Rapids Community College M-TEC Construction Trades Department have formed a partnership, allowing GRCC graduates of the Construction Trades Program to continue their education in Grand Rapids and earn an associate degree in Building Construction Technology. Students graduating from the Construction Trades Program earn 18 credits towards the Ferris associate degree.

Health information technicians (also known as medical record technicians) possess the technical knowledge and skills necessary to maintain components of medical record/health information systems consistent with the medical, administrative, ethical, legal, accrediting and regulatory requirements of the health care delivery system. Graduates are eligible to apply to write the accreditation examination administered by the American Health Information Management Association to become Registered Health Information Technicians (RHIT).

Respiratory Care, A.A.S.

Respiratory therapists treat all types of patients, ranging from premature infants whose lungs are not fully developed to elderly people whose lungs are diseased. Respiratory therapists are expanding into cardiopulmonary procedures like electrocardiograms (EKG) and stress testing but also perform other tasks like drawing blood samples from patients. The program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs in conjunction with the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care.
