
Summer Camps
Ferris-Grand Rapids hosts a week long camp to teach students ages 14 to 17 the basics of game design and animation. All skill levels are welcome. Students are expected to have a solid familiarity with the Windows PC computer environment.
Open House
All Ferris-Grand Rapids programs are represented at bi-annual open houses by advisors and/or professors. Come learn about all the programs you are interested in and meet the GRCC representative to learn about the unique consortium agreement between Ferris-Grand Rapids and GRCC. Tours of labs, the ATC, and housing are also available.
Workshops, Speakers and Programs
Through workshops, students can engage in hands-on learning that will improve their skills and supplement their in-class learning. Ferris-Grand Rapids invites speakers to come and speak on topics of interest to students as well as to the community.

Career Pathways Summer Teacher Academy
The Career Pathways Teacher Academy - June 16-20, 2008 - is a summer opportunity for teachers and counselors to earn graduate credit at a discounted tuition rate and learn about today’s careers. The Teacher Academy can also be attended without earning credit.
Experience the technology and critical thinking skills required by today’s employers.Gain the necessary information required to develop course materials that focus on jobs and careers. As a result, your students will gain a better understanding of today’s workforce trends and requirements.
With first-hand exposure to new technology, management philosophies and business processes, you will begin to significantly influence the modification of your existing lesson plans and career counseling to reflect the changing world-class business and industry standards.
New Student Orientations
In orientation you will learn about the specific program you will become part of as well as general information about the university. Learn about registering for classes, parking, tuition payment, and the services available to you. This is great preparation for campus life. |
