Introduction Welcome to the Ferris State University’s project management virtual office for Information Technology (IT) projects. This site has been established to help guide our customers in requesting IT projects. How do you know if your request is a project? If it meets two or more of the following criteria:
See the full Definition of a Project. If you have an IT request that is not a project, please contact TAC. If you are investigating a new technology for your classroom, we would like to be a part of it. Please contact ITS, and we will assign a technical advisor. If you are ready to implement new hardware or software, proceed with the Project Process below. Information Technology Services (ITS) has begun using project management software which is intended to improve processes, communications, and success of IT projects. To accomplish this, IT needs to thoroughly identify resources and assign priority to university projects in alignment with our mission and strategic plan. Information Technology Services' goal is to collaborate with all divisions and departments to establish priorities on projects to ensure IT is aligning its resources with the University.
