Internet Explorer Solution 1: Delete Offline Content
- Open the Internet Explorer web browser.
- On the toolbar at the top, click on "Tools"
- Select "Internet Options"

- A dialog box appears with three sections, Home Page, Temporary Internet files and History.

In the "Temporary Internet files” section click the "Delete Files" button.
Another dialog box appears. Place a checkmark in the box next to "Delete all offline content” and click OK.

- The deletion process may take a few moments. When the process is done, click "OK" at the bottom of the Internet Options box.
- Reboot the computer and try accessing email (Lotus Notes Web version) to see if this resolved the problem.
Internet Explorer Solution 2: Installing Microsoft Virtual Machine (MVM)
Go to: http://java-virtual-machine.net/download.html and follow the directions to download the software and install Microsoft Virtual Machine. Restart your computer after downloading and installing the MVM.
Internet Explorer Solution 3: Internet Option Settings

Open the web browser.

On the toolbar at the top, click on "Tools" and select "Internet Options."

Click the “Advanced” tab.

Scroll down to the area related to Java.

You will see Microsoft VM Java options and possibly Java (Sun).

Make sure the Java (Sun) option is not checked.

Under Microsoft VM make sure the JIT complier for virtual machine enabled is checked.

Click OK.

Reboot the computer and try accessing email (Lotus Notes Web version) to see if this resolved the problem. If the toolbar still does not appear, try solution 4 below.
Internet Explorer Solution 4: Install Java Sun
For some, the only option is to complete Solution 1 and to then install the current Java Runtime Environment (JRE). Be sure to remove any previous versions of JRE you may have on your computer by using the Add/Remove Programs function in the Windows Control Panel.
Follow these steps to obtain the latest JRE:

Download and install the latest version of Sun’s Java Runtime Environment (JRE) at
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html

Click on the Download link. Note: Do not download the SDK, just the JRE.

- Reboot the computer and try accessing email (Lotus Notes Web version) to see if this resolved the Problem.
Netscape Solution 1: Clear Memory Cache
The most common solution to the tool bar issue is to clear the memory cache from the browser.
Follow these steps:

Open the web browser.

On the toolbar at the top, click "Edit".

Select "Preferences", a dialog box appears.

On the left side of screen find Advanced and click the “triangle” sign.

Select “Cache”.
