Surveying Engineering Student Participation at the
2005 ACSM Conference
Las Vegas, NV

Students participated in the annual ACSM Student competition along with working at the conference for ACSM.  This year the competition involved working with a plane table and alidade.  This years student participants are shown in the following photograph.  From left to right: Kevin Bow, Elizabeth Chesla, Matt Mitchell and Jacob Dunham.  Special thanks to Ralph Landini, PS, for his assistance in loaning the students his alidade.

The judge, David Ingram, giving instructions to all of the participant teams prior to the start of the competition.  This years event was the largest competition thus far.  In the right photograph, Mike Bartolo, President of the Michigan Society of Professional Surveyors (MSPS), is presented with the Affiliate of the Year Award given to MSPS.
