Tips for Submitters 

•  Make a sketch of your layout before placing your papers on the poster board.
• Use photos, figures, and tables to tell the story of your topic. 
• Present information in a sequence that is easy to follow.
• A poster board should not rely on verbal explanations.
• Use active voice when writing the text.
• Avoid overuse of color.
• Edit. There is almost always too much text in a poster.

o   Good rule of thumb is about 25% text, about 45% graphics and about 30% empty space.

o   Consider using bulleted statements.
