The HVACR program is known nationally and internationally, as being the leader in producing the highest quality graduates in the field. As a result, HVACR faculty and staff, in partnership with leaders from the HVACR industry and Ferris State University career counselors, help guide students in obtaining specialized positions and internships using career preparation methods that include
- Meeting career-related needs by providing practical instruction from HVACR professionals to create resume portfolios that increase confidence and competence when organizing the job search campaign.
- Mock interviewing opportunities with industry leaders that allow for practice of personal marketing strategies that successfully match present qualifications and experience to the “best suited” job.
- Providing unique opportunities for students to seek employment utilizing HVACR program specific job placement bulletins made available and updated monthly within the department.
The HVACR program specializes in a career-oriented, technological and professional education that provides a student with the foundation for future success. Students enjoy small classes that are taught by experienced faculty from different segments of the industry. As a result, HVACR graduates are highly sought after by employers and have a 99 percent placement rate after graduation.
