Learn From The Best In CAS
Numerous distinguished faculty teach in the College of Arts and Sciences.  Many have received state or national professional recognition, awards and/or grants.  Many have received the coveted Fulbright Fellowship, enabling them to teach and do research at universities around the world.  When Ferris students evaluate these faculty using national survey forms, they rate very high when compared with all university faculty across the country.  CAS faculty members are fully engaged in sharing their expertise with students.  You'll receive instruction from professional faculty, not graduate or teaching assistants, from the time you enter Ferris until you graduate.  Upper-class students have opportunities to participate in undergraduate research, internships, student employment and leadership development activities where faculty serve as mentors.

The College of Arts and Sciences is noted for its graduates' high rates of acceptance into prestigious medical, dental, law and graduate schools.    As one of Ferris State University's largest colleges, CAS is responsible for all of the coursework, majors, minors, cultural programs and enrichment activities which Ferris offers in the arts and sciences disciplines.  The College provides curricula, facilities and special programs in the natural sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities, languages, communication field and mathematics.  The College also offers preprofessional programs in selected areas of study.
