Description:
The chair person for the Alumni Tournament is the tournament director on the day of the tournament. He/she is responsible for all aspects of running the tournament, with the help of the Head Golf Professional at Katke Golf Course and the PGM administrative staff. All of the following are tasks that the chair person must accomplish before, during, and after the tournament: Sell raffle tickets; Get the list of Alumni participants from the PGM administrative staff to make score cards, cart signs, and pairing lists; Pick pin locations with the Head Golf Professional at Katke Golf Course; Set course tees for the tournament; Assist Head Golf Professional at Katke Golf Course in setting up a 9-hole tournament; Prepare the golf course for a tournament (fruit, water, etc.); Recruit workers/PGM students to assist in the tournament operations for the tournament; Collect tournament fees, dues, and raffle tickets from Alumni participants.Amputee Tournament

Description:
The PGMSA Big/Little program is designed to serve as a link and promote the relationships between upperclassmen and the incoming freshman class of the Professional Golf Management program. The responsibility of the Big/Little committee chair person is to pair each freshman with one upperclassman to help the first year students develop a friendship and a possible resource for the future. The Big/Little committee heads should organize functions with the Social Committee that can include pizza parties, ice cream socials, FSU hockey/football/basketball games, Cookouts, Tuesday night bowling, miniature golf tournaments, Sunday PGMSA tournaments, traveling loops, etc.Education

Description:
The first job of the Education Committee chair person is to be in charge of announcing all interviews, guest speakers, seminars, etc… at the PGMSA meetings. He/She is also responsible for attending and introducing guest speakers at PGMSA functioned seminars. The committee head(s) should go to the PGM office every Monday and speak with the PGM administrative staff about upcoming events to announce at Tuesday's meeting. Secondly, the Education Committee chair person is responsible for the PGM board, located on the first floor of the College of Business building. This should be kept up to date with the current faculty, staff, executive board, and committee head information. This is also a good place to post upcoming events and can coincide with the information on the PGMSA Website.Equipment and Club Repair

Description:
The Equipment & Club Repair committee head is responsible for all of the teaching and training aids owned by the PGMSA. Some equipment moves from the Katke Golf Course to the PGM Center during different seasonal times of the year. The Equipment & Club Repair committee educates students about the different types of equipment that the PGM program has to offer. The committee head is in charge of certifying students who would like to use the V1 equipment on their own. The committee head is also responsible for controlling access and the rules that apply to the club repair room. He/She is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe equipment and club repair room located in the PGM Center.Golf Course Improvement

Description:
The Golf Course Improvement Committee head is responsible for working closely with the Head Golf Professional and Head Superintendent at the Katke Golf Course. It is the committee's responsibility to help with special projects and organize PGMSA members to help improve the overall condition of Katke Golf Course.Intramurals

Description:
Intramural sports are athletic competitions held among students, faculty and staff from the same university. The intramural program offers structured activities in various team and individual sports. Intramurals are aimed at providing all students, faculty and staff with an opportunity to participate, regardless of their skill level. The Intramurals Committee head is responsible for contacting the Ferris State Recreation Center in submitting an application for the PGMSA Intramurals team. Description:
The Senior Banquet committee head is made up of one or two individuals who are highly involved in the PGMSA. They will record and update a points system that leads to a scholarship for the most involved member at the end of the semester. Description:
The Social & Fundraising Committee head is in charge of hosting and developing events for members of PGMSA to socialize outside of the classroom in a more relaxed environment. The Social Committee can work with the Big/Little Committee to hold events such as Tuesday night bowling, miniature golf tournaments, cookouts, poker nights, Ferris State University athletic events, etc… PGMSA must hold at least one fundraiser each semester. The committee head must work closely with the Treasurer in determining the PGMSA’s financing needs. In the past, fundraisers have included PGMSA logo hats, towels, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and sweatpants. The money that is raised helps to pay for Social events and minimize costs for PGMSA members.Teaching

Description:
The Teaching Committee head is responsible for coordinating teaching seminars and functions for the PGMSA. These seminars and functions have included the V1 System certification, and on course golf instruction. The Teaching Committee head is also responsible for coordinating the Golf at Lunch program during the spring semester. The committee head should report to the PGM administrative staff in coordinating the golf program.Tournament & Rules

Description:
It is the responsibility of the Tournament & Rules committee head to plan, organize, and execute all of the PGM Tournaments. PGM Tournaments are traditionally held at the Katke Golf Course on Sunday mornings. The Tournament & Rules committee head is responsible for working closely with the Head Golf Professional at the Katke Golf Course. The following are the requirements for setting up each tournament: A tournament packet must be compiled to include all of the events for the semester and passed out to all of the PGM students; The committee head must reserve a block of tee times for each event on the proper day/time with the Katke Golf Course; All entry forms must be collected from the PGM center so the pairings can be made by Friday before the tournament; The committee head must prepare all scorecards, act as the starter on the first teem and score the tournament; The results, payouts, and skins should be presented at the PGMSA meeting each week in an overhead form.Website

The Website Committee head is responsible for updating the PGMSA website on a weekly basis. Updates will include past, current, and future information. The committee head works closely with the Secretary of the PGMSA as well as each committee head to acquire information to post on the website.
