Entry Requirements & How to ApplyAdmission RequirementsStudents wishing to enroll in the PTM program at Ferris State University must have a 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) from high school and an ACT score of 19 or above in math or an ACT of 19 or above in reading. Students must also have ONE of the following: USTA district ranking, an NTRP of 4.0, or a proven ability at the high-school level. A letter of reference from a USPTA professional, tennis coach or school administrator verifying playing ability is required. Students are requested to submit playing ability verification and letter of reference directly to the PTM offices. Students must also obtain a USPTA P-2 teaching certification in order to graduate. PTM students must also satisfy all general education requirements of Ferris State University. How to Apply*An application can be submitted on-line, or by requesting a paper copy from the address below. Applications may also be obtained at the offices of Michigan high school and community college counselors. * Applications must be completed/submitted well in advance of the semester in which the student expects to enroll.
