Hospitality Program Scholarships
Community College Transfer
PURPOSE OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
The Hospitality Programs Transfer scholarship provides financial assistance to transfer students entering Hotel Management programs at Ferris State University.
SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT
Recipients of the Community College Transfer Scholarship shall receive $1,000 to be applied to the student's cost as follows: $500 during Fall semester and $500 Winter semester.
CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILTY
To be considered for selection, recipients shall have demonstrated leadership abilities and the potential to make significant contributions to the industry. Additionally, the following criteria must be met:
- Earned a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher
- Submit a statement detailing educational goals (500 maximum)
- Have a recommendation form submitted by your DECA advisor and one other teacher or an employer

PURPOSE OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
The Hospitality Programs DECA Scholarship provides financial assistance to freshman students entering the Restaurant and Food Industry Management or the Resort Management Programs at Ferris State University.
SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT
Recipient of the DECA Scholarship shall receive $1,000 to be applied to the student's cost as follows: $500 during Fall semester and $500 Winter semester.
CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILTY
To be considered for selection, recipient shall have demonstrated leadership abilities and the potential to make significant contributions to the industry. Additionally, the following criteria must be met:
- Earned a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.75 or higher or scored 19 or above on the American College Test (ACT)
- Submitted a statement detailing educational goals (500 word maximum)
- Be a member of DECA in good standing
- Must be a high school senior
- Have a recommendation form submitted by your DECA advisor and one other teacher or an employer
