Computer Information Systems - CIS Facilities

CIS students have access to a variety of Computer Information System classrooms and CIS computer labs - a mix of traditional classrooms, team-based classrooms and Macintosh and PC labs. The current operating system is MS-Windows XP along with MS-Office 2003 (XP), Visual Studio, SQL, e-mail, Internet and campus portals. Thirty-five software titles are available. Dell Computer Corporation is the campus standard for Ferris computer technology. The network infrastructure provides fast switched 100 MB Ethernet connectivity to the desktop and an ATM/Gigabit fiber optic backbone to the Ferris campus.
