The Big Event Applications!

Not only was I getting community service hours, leadership experience, and using what I learned in my data analytics major, I was also seeing the impact the Ferris student body had on the Big Rapids Community.

Would you like to be more involved on campus and give back to our community? Do you like event planning and giving back? If so, fill out an application for the Big Event coordinator positions.

Unifying students to work together to express their gratitude and support for the community of Big Rapids. Ferris State University’s Big Event is the largest student ran philanthropic event in the state of Michigan. Being a Big Event coordinator provides you with an opportunity to enhance your leadership and communication skills. You will be able to expand your time management and organizational skills. Individuals in the coordinator positions are viewed as professional students and exceptional leaders.

“I was on the committee as database coordinator for the Big Event last year, previously I was a volunteer. As a volunteer my first year at Ferris, I was able to serve a very nice family who really needed the extra hand. Last year as DB coordinator I was able to have a hand in organizing the event and seeing it all in action left a remarkable impression on me. Not only was I getting community service hours, leadership experience, and using what I learned in my data analytics major, I was also seeing the impact the Ferris student body had on the Big Rapids Community. You will not regret this opportunity if you are up for it.” -Haven Chane, Director of The Big Event.
