Public relations is one of the fastest growing professions in the U.S. (Dept. of Labor, Fortune Magazine). Career professionals write, speak, and create a variety of communication tools to reach an organization's key audience. PR practitioners counsel upper management on ethical best practices and right action. They work in nearly all professional fields, including corporate, independent agencies, non-profit, government, sports, entertainment, and investor relations. PR professionals must be creative, think strategically, and be excellent writers.
Ferris hosts the ONLY PR program in the nation to offer public relations as a business degree and the ONLY PR program in Michigan to be certified by the national Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Plus, our faculty have real-world experience, exceptional academic credentials, and Accreditation in Public Relations (APR). Our student-run PR firm gives students outstanding hands-on experience and professional training.
Check out FSUPR and you'll see why we are considered one of the elite PR programs in the nation!
