Music Industry Management

  • MIMG 451: The Music Business
  • MUSI 458: Music Technology

It takes more than just musicians to put on a concert, produce and distribute a great recording, or get that new guitar in the hands of the player. It takes many people doing the business of music, and you could be one of them! On campus, you will produce live concerts and other events throughout the year as a member of the Music Industry Management Association that functions as a student run Production Company. The program also enjoys relationships with major trade organizations that provide access and valuable networking opportunities in this dynamic industry. MIM students are further prepared to enter the field through internships that are a fundamental component of the program.
