Experience: Over 20 years industry experience in Information Systems. Positions held include Programmer, Analyst, Database Adminstrator, Project Manager. Joined Ferris State University in 1999. Actively consult in database, educational technology, and Homeland Security.
Publications: A Case Study of an Approach to Nursing Education Using a Mixed Model of Distance and Live Instruction, Dissertation, Michigan State University, 2000. An Evaluation of CASE Technology compared to Traditional Third-Generation Development Methodologies, 1990.
Ongoing Research: The effectiveness of Internet instruction. Project management instruction. Grant reviewer for Department of Homeland Security.
Supervised Research: Have supervised approximately 300 graduate student thesis and capstone projects. Member Project Management Institute (ceritifed project manager). Grants: Have secured over $1,400,000 in grants and gifts in kind for classroom use from a variety of sources including ChoicePoint (i2), Paraben, Computer Associates, and Quest Software.
