Professional activities and areas of interest
Professor Wolfer teaches courses in Restaurant & Food Industry, and Hotel Management courses, ranging from Facilities Management, to Purchasing, World Cuisines, Beverage Management, and Beginning Baking and Cooking.
Prior to teaching, she worked for a number of companies across the country in restaurants and resorts, including The Hyatt Regency on Hilton Head Island, The Amway Grand Plaza, and Kent Country Club and well as completing a graduate assistantship at St. Andrews Café at the Culinary Institute of America. Professor Wolfer has remained current with industry trends through her ownership of two quick service restaurants which she has operated for a combined total of over 13 years.
Professor Wolfer taught as an adjunct professor from 1995-1999, she has been teaching in her current capacity since 2007. She is currently the advisor for NSMH, National Society in Minorities Hospitality.
