CIS Advisory Board

The CIS Advisory Board is made up of CIS graduates who are working in their chosen field as well as IT placement agency representatives, CIS faculty from other institutions, companies that hire Ferris graduates, and others. The purpose of the group is to provide faculty, student and professional support. Faculty support includes insights into new technology, industry trends and business practices; guest speakers and facilitation student tours; recommendations for purchases of new equipment and equipment donations; faculty site visits and work training.

The CIS Advisory Board supports students through internships, job opportunities, job interview rehearsals, individual and group site visits, speaking to student groups and classes, job shadowing and a mentor program for seniors. The board offers real-world projects as well as scholarships for faculty and students to attend IT conferences and workshops.
