Related Professional Associations
A number of associations and foundations serve the advertising field with education, advocacy, networking, events and other services. Here are some of those with the most relevance to Ferris State’s Advertising/Integrated Marketing Communications program:
American Advertising Federation
As the “Unifying Voice for Advertising,” the American Advertising Federation (AAF), headquartered in Washington, D.C., with a Western Region office in Newport Beach, CA, is the trade association that represents 50,000 professionals in the advertising industry. AAF’s 130 corporate members are advertisers, agencies and media companies that comprise the nation’s leading brands and corporations. AAF has a national network of 210 ad clubs and connects the industry with an academic base through its 210 college chapters.
American Association of Advertising Agencies
Founded in 1917, the American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA) is the national trade association representing the advertising agency business in the United States. Its membership produces approximately 75 percent of the total advertising volume placed by agencies nationwide. The Association also has an AAAA Foundation.
