Professional activities and areas of interest
Professor Dix has extensive work experience with General Motors Corporation and has worked in various management positions in Saginaw, MI, Flint, MI, and Fort Wayne, IN. Classes taught at Ferris include Principles of Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Marketing, Product Marketing, International Marketing, and Marketing Research. Research interests include Marketing History and New Product Development. She has published articles in the Journal of Macromarketing and many conference proceedings. Professor Dix is currently the advisor to the American Marketing Association student chapter and the Wesley House Campus Ministry. She is a member of the American Marketing Association and AMA-West Michigan, and the Association for Historical Research in Marketing.
