Graduates from the marketing education degree program can expect excellent career opportunities in the higher education marketing field with secondary and vocational education as well as in the multifaceted world of government, business and industry.
Well established in providing technical, hands-on education marketing programs, Ferris State University offers business marketing education students two major courses of study: general business and education marketing. Marketing majors must also choose a minor.
The marketing education degree program offers a balanced educational background including business professional education and general education courses, field and directed marketing teaching experiences.
The marketing education program prepares students to teach marketing subjects at the secondary level and also helps college graduates gain employment in the higher education marketing field. Students of the marketing education degree program select a major in general business or marketing and a teaching minor is required. You cannot have a marketing/distributive education teaching minor with this teaching major.
Students seeking admission to the business marketing education programs must have taken the ACT exam and have a 2.00 overall GPA. College students wishing to transfer into the marketing education bs degree program with completed majors or minors must have the appropriate GPA as established by each department.
The business education degree program leads to a Bachelor of Science degree through the School of Education, College of Education & Human Services. Graduates of the marketing education degree program must complete all of Ferris State's general education, business, and education requirements. Professional education requirements include a semester of directed student marketing teaching. Consult the marketing education program description for all other graduation requirements.
A 2.50 GPA is required for satisfactory completion of the business marketing education major.
