Sports Illustrated Takes Notes of Brown’s Defensive Skills

Last fall, Ferris State men’s ice hockey sophomore goaltender Mike Brown became the first individual in Central Collegiate Hockey Association history to be named the league’s Defensive Player of the Week for four consecutive weeks. As a result, Sports Illustrated featured Brown in its “Faces In The Crowd” section.
After his mention in SI, Brown captured his fifth Defensive Player of the Week honor of the 2002-03 season for his performance in a home league sweep of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
