Financial aid does not
transfer from one school to another. In order to
ensure that you will have financial aid when you
transfer to Ferris State University, please complete
the following steps as soon as you determine that you
are transferring.
|
Apply for Transfer Scholarships
 |
Make sure you have completed an application
for admission to Ferris State University and
that you are officially admitted to Ferris.
After you have completed the application you
will receive an official letter documenting
admittance. Please click here if you would
like to complete the Ferris
State University Application for Admission
on-line. |

Make sure Ferris has access to your
Federal Student Aid Report (SAR). If you
did not list Ferris as one of the schools that
you were considering when you completed your
FAFSA, then you need to call the federal
processor at (800) 433-3243 and request
that Ferris be added to your SAR. Ferris'
Title IV Code is 002260. |
|
|
 |
Make sure you complete any additional
requirements from Ferris' Office of
Scholarships and Financial
Aid, such as verification, proof of
selective service registration, etc. Once your
file is complete and you are admitted to
Ferris, the financial aid office will send you
an award notice offering you the best financial
aid package available at the time you apply.
Make sure you complete and return the award
notice and any additional documentation sent to
you by the Office of Scholarships and Financial
Aid. |
|
|
 |
Advise the financial aid office at your old
school that you are transferring to Ferris and
ask them to cancel your aid at that
institution. |
