The Supplemental
Educational Opportunity Grant is referred to as gift
aid, which means the funds do not
have to be
repaid. This federal grant is awarded to exceptionally
needy undergraduate students who are
enrolled at
least half-time (6-8 credits), with priority given to
Pell Grant recipients. Award amounts may
vary and are
dependent on enrollment status: full-time, at least 12
credits; three-quarter-time, 9-11 credits;
and half-time,
6-8 credits. Awards can range from $200 to $2,000 per
year, however, the actual amount
granted is
based on the availability of funds at the participating
school. |
