Financial Aid Probation
A student who falls below the GPA or credit hour progression requirement will be placed on probation for one semester. While on probation a student may continue to receive financial aid.

In order to meet the terms of the probation semester:

bullet Full-time student
MUST EARN a minimum of 9 credits and attain the required cumulative GPA
bullet Three quarter-time or half-time student
MUST EARN a minimum of 6 credits and attain the required cumulative GPA

Note: Credits earned do not include repeated classes originally graded with a D- or better; however, if the courses are required for a program of study, then they may be included.

A student must also attain a minimum 2.0 GPA during the semester, unless other requirements have been given.  A student who meets the GPA and credit hour progression requirements during the probationary semester will be considered to be making satisfactory progress, and may continue to receive financial aid.  If the requirements are not met during the probationary semester (even if financial aid wasn't received during the semester), the student will be placed on financial aid suspension for the following semester.

A student may be allowed only two financial aid probation semesters while at Ferris.
