The Financial Aid Process
Ferris State University offers a wide variety of scholarships and financial aid. Approximately 84% of our students receive financial aid assistance. Registration
Late Registration Dates: August 26, 27 and 28th
Drop and Add Dates: August 31, September 1, 2 and 3rd.
Books
Eligible students may charge books at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore between August 24 and September 4.
Students who have excess financial aid funds who have completed all of their aid requirements, are enrolled at least half-time, and have active Direct-deposit accounts set up, may receive an advance of their financial aid for up to $400 on August 28, 2009 to allow them to purchase their books off campus, if they wish.
Financial Aid Refunds
Students who have completed all requirements and have excess financial aid, will receive Direct-deposit refunds on the following dates:
Huntington Bank: September 11, 2009
All other Banks: September 14, 2009
Refund checks will be mailed to the permanent address of any student eligible for a refund that does not have an active Direct-deposit account, on September 21, 2009.
Consortium Student Refunds
Consortium students who have completed all requirements and have excess financial aid, will receive Direct-deposit refunds on the following date
All Banks: September 25, 2009
Refund checks will be mailed to the permanent address of any consortium student eligible for a refund that does not have an active Direct-deposit account, on September 28, 2009.
