Scholarships and Financial Aid
Health Professions Loan

Health Professions Loans are available to students enrolled in either the College of Pharmacy or the Michigan College of Optometry. Only students enrolled full-time (9 or more credit hours), who have financial need are eligible. The funds allocated for this program are limited; therefore, Ferris State University exercises a first-come, first-serve policy for awarding individual funds to students. Students must have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); however, no additional application is required. Award amounts vary. Repayment begins one year after graduation (or leaving the curriculum.) The interest rate is fixed at 5%. Students wishing to receive this loan must provide parental federal income tax returns to the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid (regardless of the student’s age or marital status.)
