Graduate PLUS Loan
The Graduate PLUS Loan is available to students in a graduate or professional degree program, who are enrolled at least half-time (5 credit hours). A completed FAFSA is required. The loan requires a credit check to determine eligibility. If approved, the student must also complete PLUS Loan Entrance Counseling and a Graduate PLUS Master Promissory Note.

Direct Graduate PLUS Loan
- Borrower is the Graduate or Professional Degree student
- Interest rate is 7.9% fixed
- Origination fee of 4% less an up–front interest rebate of 1.5%
- Funds are sent directly to the school
- Repayment is automatically an in–school deferment
- Loan limits are the cost of education less other aid
- Enrollment status must be as least half–time (5 credit hours)
- Can be Consolidated with other federal loans after graduation
