Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG)

The Academic Competitiveness Grant is a new Federal program. It is considered gift aid and does not have to be repaid. Students can receive an award of up to $750 in their first academic year of study and up to $1,300 for the second academic year of study. To be eligible the student must be a US citizen and a Pell Grant recipient. Also, they must be attending full–time in a degree granting program and have completed a rigorous secondary school program of study. See description of rigorous listed below. To be eligible for the second year award, the student must have at least a cumulative 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
