| The Robert C. Byrd Honors
Scholarship is a state administered federal program to
promote student excellence and achievement. This
program recognizes exceptional students who
show promise of continued excellence. The award is
based upon merit only and financial need is not used
to determine eligibility. Eligible students must be
undergraduates (entering as freshmen), and they must
be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credits). The
maximum award amount is $1,500 for the first year of
study and can be renewable for up to four years.
Selection of recipients in Michigan is determined by the Academic
All-State Program administered by the Michigan
Association of Secondary Principals and the Detroit
Free Press. For additional information please contact your high school principal. |
