Early Start in College
Ferris State University offers options for high school students to get an early start
in college by articulating high school credits to Ferris for college credits. Students
save money on rising costs of tuition, fees and books while accelerating their progress
in their college major instead of being slowed down by duplication of courses. The
benefits are cost- and time-efficient.

- Articulated Advanced Placement Credit Program
Designed for high school students enrolled in high school career programs, career
technical centers, and consortiums. Through articulation agreements between Ferris
and the high school career centers, students are able to apply for college credit
for competencies learned outside the traditional classroom. As a result, students
are eligible to begin their studies at Ferris beyond entry-level coursework.
- Ferris Teacher Academy
A program planned specifically for high school students at career centers who are
preparing for teacher education at the post-secondary level. Through the Ferris Teacher
Academy, students can earn between 3-8 college credits that will apply toward a bachelors
degree in elementary education at Ferris.
Both of the Ferris high school articulation programs offer students the opportunity
to turn high school credits into college credits, thereby giving students an early
start in college while saving them hundreds of dollars in tuition.
