How do I tell what version I have?

Right click on the Cisco Clean Access Agent Icon in the bottom right corner of the screen (the system tray) and select About. Look at the version information in the bottom left corner of the screen. The version should be 4.1.3.1, if it isn't, take the following actions to make sure you have the most up to date version of Clean Access Agent.


How to install the new Cisco Clean Access Agent

  • Windows XP Users:
    1. Uninstall the old version of Cisco Clean Access
    2. Reboot your computer
    3. When your computer restarts open Internet Explorer
    4. The network authentication page should come up. Enter your Ferris Computing ID and Password in the corresponding boxes
    5. A Window will open that has the installation instructions, follow those to download the new version.
    6. After the program is finished installing it should open the Cisco Clean Access log in page.

  • Windows Vista Users:
    1. Uninstall the old version of Cisco Clean Access
    2. Reboot your computer
    3. Click on Internet Explorer
    4. The network authentication page should come up. Enter your Ferris Computing ID and Password in the corresponding boxes
    5. A window will open that has the installation instructions, follow those to download the new version.
    6. After the program has saved to the desktop go to it and right click on it and select 'run as administrator'
    7. After the program is finished installing it should open the Cisco Clean Access log in page.

You can verify this by going back to the Cisco Clean Access About screen and checking the version as listed above.
