In order to provide all employees with access to standard Ferris State University electronic communication resources, all employees will have the following accounts created for them:

  • Lotus Notes account
  • MyFSU account
  • Novell Network account

In accordance with Business Policy Letter 2005:02, the TAC will process this work order after the employee is processed by Human Resources (HR). Also per BPL 2005:02, IDs and passwords will be provided to the employee at New Employee Orientation (or when the employee begins employment). If a Request for Pre-Employment Access to Computing Resources Form (see BPL 2005:02) has been completed and approved, HR will provide authorization to the Technology Assistance Center (TAC) to release the ID and password pre-employment. The IDs for the systems listed above will all have the same unique computing ID generated by HRS.
