The FSU Computer Standards Committee is recommending that the following software packages be recognized as the standard software load supported for faculty and staff personal computers on campus:

1. Windows XP or 7 Operating System (OS). Mac OS X 10.5 or 10.6 OS for Apple computers.
2. Lotus Notes Electronic Mail Client
3. Internet Explorer (Windows only)
4. Safari (Mac only)
5. Mozilla Firefox
6. Symantec Endpoint Protection
7. Microsoft Office Suite
8. Novell Client for network connectivity (Windows only)
9. Acrobat Reader and Flash plug-ins
10. ZENWorks 10 client (Windows only)

In a student computer open lab, we recommend the same software be installed on the machine with the following exceptions:

• Lotus Notes will not be loaded on the machines for e-mail
