ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES

The Counseling Center staff has tried very hard over the years to conduct assessment of its programs and services. The purpose of conducting this kind of inquiry is to improve our services, to provide accountability for what we do here with our students, and to demonstrate to the Higher Learning Commission that are conducting program assessment.

This section of our site addresses various on-going program assessment activities. The results help us to improve the quantity and quality of our work. Eventually, we will post our program improvements and changes.

The staff is already very familiar with assessment and evaluation because we routinely conduct a different kind of clinical assessment with every student client who requests counseling/therapy services. The common elements of program and clinical assessment include gathering information, identifying problems and things to improve, and then work in the necessary change process.
