Andrea Blue is the Secretary Level II (Administrative Assistant II) for the Office of Multicultural Student Services. She provides administrative support to four office staff members as well as training and mentoring student assistants. She prides herself on staying abreast of the policies and core values of the University.
Andrea works one-on-one with various students, staff, organizations, and community members to improve the quality and services of Ferris State University.
Andrea involves herself with activities that offer assistance to students during their transition to college. Andrea has a mixture of responsibilities and she relies on 20-plus years of expertise and judgment to plan and attain these goals. Teaching, participating in public speaking events, and providing one-on-one assistance with students are her passions. Andrea currently serves as mentor and advisor to several organizations at Ferris and throughout her community. She is an alumnus of Ferris State University where she graduated with a MS, Career Technical Education / Concentration on Instruction and Supervision, 2011, BS, Business Administration / Minor in Communication, 2009, and Associates in Administrative Assistant, 1997. She is currently working on the MS, Business Administration / Advanced Studies Certificate in Project Management, 2014. She currently lives in Big Rapids, Michigan and looks forward to being the trend setter by raising awareness with diversity, cultural, and women’s issues.
