Pharmacy

The Birkam Health Center, as part of its overall mission to provide quality, comprehensive health care to its students, has an in-house pharmacy designed to offer quality, economical medications for a variety of medical problems. The pharmacy is staffed by a licensed pharmacist and student interns from the College of Pharmacy. The pharmacy is open during the Health Center's normal business hours.

The pharmacy accepts a variety of insurance's including but not limited to, Blue Cross, MESSA, Blue Care Network, Caremark, Claimspro, Express Scripts, Medicaid, PAID, PCS, Priority Health, and Value Rx. The student is required to present their insurance card at the time of service in order to direct bill for their prescription. The student is responsible for any co-pay associated with the insurance. Students without prescription insurance can receive medication at very reasonable rates. The student can either pay for the prescription at the time of pickup or charge it to their account. • Counsel the patient on the proper use of their prescription
  • Answer any questions the patient has regarding their prescription

Along with providing quality, economical and professional pharmacy services, the pharmacy staff is committed to strict adherence to the Health Center's policy regarding patient confidentiality.
