Becoming a teacher may be easier than most think.
Students can earn a Bachelor of Science degree in
Secondary Education through Ferris State University
without quitting their job or leaving town! Combined
with their work experience, the bachelor’s degree
in education will give graduates an edge as they
pursue teaching positions in high schools, career
and technical education centers, alternative and
magnet schools, tech-prep programs and other non-
traditional educational studies. This degree program
also prepares graduates to pursue a postgraduate
degree in education or education administration.
The Secondary Education program requires the
completion of a teaching major and a teaching minor
to fulfill the subject area requirements of
the program.

ACT min: 19 or college level math and English
Successful completion of the Basic Skills Test
48 transferable college credit hours
