Computer Information Systems
The CIS program prepares students for leadership
in all key areas of business and industry. Immediate
access to accurate information has never been
more important to business decision-making—
which means that the job market in CIS is
wide open.
Graduates will be able to step into positions in
computer programming/analysis, systems analysis,
network administration and microcomputers.
This unique program offers a well-designed
combination of liberal arts courses, core business
and hands-on classes so students will be well
prepared to advance into management positions
in a variety of organizations, businesses, financial
institutions, manufacturing plants and
government agencies.

HS diploma or GED
GPA min: 2.35
ACT min: 19 or college level math and English
48 transferable college credit hours

multi-national enterprises need professionals who
can relate their technical skills by problem-solving
computer systems issues within the
business environment.
The CIT-SAS curriculum provides students with a
broad understanding of core business functions,
computer support specialist skills, help-desk
support skills, network and computer systems
administration skills and computer security skills.
This curriculum prepares graduates for several
industry certifications such as: CompTIA’s: A+,
Network+, Linux+, Security+ and Microsoft’s
Systems Administration Certification (MCSA).
