Business Administration –
To meet the needs of students in the Flight Technology
Program at Northwestern Michigan College, there is an
option of study that includes an Associate of Applied
Science degree in Aviation from NMC and a Bachelor
of Science degree in Business Administration from
Ferris State University.
Students can earn FAA ratings and an associate degree
in less than two years so they can enter the job market
faster. Graduates are instructed using top quality,
diverse fleet of aircraft and enjoy high employment
placement rates in the charter, airline, military, flight
instruction, seaplane and unmanned aircraft fields.
The program offers a myriad of FAA ratings and
licenses including Private, Instrument, Commercial,
Multi-Engine and Flight Instructor certificates.

HS diploma or GED
GPA min: 2.35
Credit for or placement into ENGL 150 or MATH 115
48 transferable college credit hours (2.0 or better)
Must have or be working on associate degree in aviation
Credit hours required for graduation: 138

Business Administration –
Culinary Management
The Business Administration – Professional Track,
Culinary Management degree features a strong
core of business classes and flexibility to transfer
over 30 culinary arts course credits or 94 total
credits from Grand Rapids Community College
into the degree. This major provides an avenue
for immediate employment and advancement to
upper levels of management. This is a Business
Administration – Professional Track degree
emphasizing culinary management.
Employers seek graduates for positions ranging
from general manager and food sales representative
to chef production supervisor and special event
planner. Graduates of the program obtain positions
in lodging, service, food and beverage production,
retail, financial accounting and management.
