Automotive Management
The automotive and heavy equipment industry
needs managers and representatives with up-to-date
technical, managerial and communication skills to
work in service, parts, sales, warranty and customer
relations. The Automotive Management degree
allows individuals to move into management at
dealerships, repair centers, manufacturers – anywhere
leaders are needed with technical, managerial and
communication skills.
This degree can also prepare students for positions
such as aftermarket management, fleet management,
technical writing and training. Graduates from the
Automotive Management program are among the
highest-paid and most sought-after graduates of
Ferris State University.

HS diploma or GED
Associate degree in an automotive or heavy
equipment-related technical area or 48 transferable
college credit hours in a related area
GPA min: 2.3
ACT min: 19 or college level math and English
Minimum credit hours required for degree after
completion of an associate degree: 65

Business Administration
The Business Administration major is designed to
prepare students for the rapidly changing nature
of the work environment in business, government
and other nonprofit organizations. The program is
designed to equip graduates not only for entry-level
positions but for advancement as well. Building
upon a core of business courses, the program
features a tight sequence of major courses; however,
the program also provides the flexibility to specialize
in an area of interest for the student. Students with
associate degrees in technical fields will find the
program attractive for building a solid knowledge
of business and management upon their technical
expertise. Be prepared to advance into positions
such as business manager, sales representative or
production supervisor in a variety of fields, including
manufacturing, retail, construction, financial
institutions and government. Students may also
find this major to be of value in preparation for law
school and graduate studies in business.
