Sergeant Wing is a Shift Supervisor responsible for patrolling the campus during the evening shift. His duties include crime prevention, responding to emergency calls, and protecting persons and property. He has the responsibility for the immediate supervision, instruction, and coordination of the activities of the officers and student employees assigned to his shift.
Sergeant Wing teaches Rape Aggression Defense to women at Ferris with Officer Paquette. He is a bicycle patrol officer, a field training officer and defensive tactic's instructor. Sgt. Wing also takes an active role in community policing efforts.
Sergeant Wing is the department's mountain bike coordinator and teaches with the Criminal Justice Department at Ferris State University
