Cadet Nelson's duties include assisting the campus community and visitors, conducting minor police investigations and reports, enforcing parking rules and regulations, dispatching and assisting with special events on campus.
Before becoming a cadet, Nelson served as a student foot patrol officer for the department. He also served as Captain of the Genesee County Sheriff Office Explorers Post #125 for three years, and more recently as a licensed security enforcement officer for Lagarda Security Services in Flint, MI.
