Admission to Online Program

Ferris State may admit residents of this state to our fully online programs.

If you are interested in a program with an internship/practicum component (Automotive Management, HVACR, Health Information Management, Bachelor of Integrative Studies, or Master of Science in Nursing) that component cannot be completed in this state at this time. Many of our programs have alternatives that are acceptable, so check with your program advisor about other options that may be available.

Complaint Process

Ferris State University makes every effort to provide high quality education in our online programs. Ferris State also has established policies and procedures to assist students in resolving concerns or issues they may encounter. A listing of specific policies for addressing various types of complaints and the escalation of complaints at Ferris State University may be found here:  http://www.ferris.edu/HTMLS/admision/financialaid/complaints.htm

Students are encouraged to pursue resolution to complaints within Ferris State University prior to escalation of the complaint to external agencies, as the university's personnel will be in the best position to remedy any concerns.

Complaints regarding broad institutional academic practices, such as those that raise issues regarding the University's ability to meet accreditation standards, may be forwarded to our accrediting agency.  See this link for the process to submit a complaint to the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association as well as their contact information:  http://ncahlc.org/HLC-Institutions/complaints.html
