The Interview Stream Competition is an online interviewing competition through Bulldog CareerLink's Interview Stream.  Record yourself in an interview, and the best interviewee will win a KINDLE FIRE.

Rules and Guidelines:
1. Competition will take place online through Career Services Bulldog Career Link and run from February 3 to 12. 

2. Students can submit only one interview for the competition.

3. Students must have a Bulldog CareerLink account and submit the interview through Bulldog CareerLink and Interview Stream.

4. Career Services HIGHLY suggests that you watch the “Interview Webinar” and “Tutorial” for instructions on how to use Interview Stream.

5. Career Services will give anybody the tools and space to conduct the interview if needed (webcam, computer, etc.)

6. Students participating in the competition must choose the Interview Stream Competition set of questions.  

7. Rather than selling yourself for a specific job posting, the competition is judged on how well a student markets his or herself and their interviewing skills. 

Categories Judged: Appearance & Attire, Smile & Eye Contact, Attitude & Confidence, Positive Answers to Questions, Description of Skills, Voice & Clarity, Proper Grammar/Avoids Slang & Filler Words (um, uh, etc.).

The teeth of a child are precious and the designation of February as National Children's Dental Health Month aims to further drive that point home to parents and their children. Helping the cause is Ferris State University's Student American Dental Hygiene Association whose members are reaching out to the community through the annual Free Children's Dental Health Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 11.

The fair is open to children age 13 and younger and is being held in Ferris' Dental Hygiene Clinic. Participants are eligible for free exams, X-rays (for qualifying patients), sealants and fluoride treatments. Games, prizes, snacks and face painting will be available as well!

Come on out and “Let your Heart Soar!” at a Disc Golf Tournament to support cardiac rehabilitation at Mecosta County Medical Center!

Cost to play: $25 per team ($20 if you pre-register following the directions below). One 18-hole round of best shot doubles. Bring your own partner. Prizes for top finishing teams in all divisions!

If you love to play disc golf, this tournament is for you! If you have never seen a golf disc, this tournament is for you! Don't have a golf disc? Don't worry! Experienced players from the Big Rapids Disc Golf Club and the FSU Disc Sports Club will be on hand to offer tips and to loan out discs for the day.

Big Rapids native Ann Brakora Applegate presents an evening of solo piano performance.

Applegate is a performer and instructor of piano at the Wausau Conservatory of Music, as well as a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County. Playing in faculty recitals, guest performances, outreach performances in the public school system and performances on the Wisconsin Public Radio series “Live from the Elvehjem,” she recently has appeared twice at Carnegie Hall, once with the UWMC College Chorale and once with violinist R. Todd Ehle.

Applegate has appeared as piano soloist with the Wausau Symphony and Band, and has accompanied Wausau Pro Musica, UWMC College Chorale, and UWMC New Dimension. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance from Central Michigan University and a Master's Degree in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Oregon in Eugene.

The 2012 Festival of the Arts' Foreign Film Festival continues with the French drama "Welcome" (2009, 110 minutes, not rated).

"Welcome" follows the adventures of Bilal, a 17-year-old Kurdish boy from Iraq who trains to swim the English Channel from the French to English shores to find his love. Though he cannot swim, Bilal sets out to conquer this last barrier with determination and the help of a sympathetic swimming coach.
