To ensure the safety of all participants, emergency medical services/medical direction, ride marshals, Bike SAG (support and gear), city and county police, and amateur radio will be in place at multiple points along the routes for assistance. Volunteers are still needed to assist with amateur radio communication.

“This is an opportunity for the community and local groups to really help students,” said Mike McKay, Ferris’ manager of employee safety and training. “It’s more than just a bike ride, it’s an event that is used to fund scholarships.”

A post-ride meal will be held at the Student Recreation Center, with Catering providing food from noon until 5:30 p.m. There will be a drawing for prizes at the meal.

An afterglow event will be held at Cranker’s Restaurant and Brewery for alumni and friends beginning at 4 p.m. Free live music and appetizers will be available.
