Delta Sigma Theta to Present Women’s Suffrage March Reenactment March 5

The month of March highlights and celebrates the strides that women have taken in history and in contemporary society. As part of the Women’s History Month Celebration organized by Ferris State University’s Office of Multicultural Student Services, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Zeta Rho Chapter will host a Women’s Suffrage March on Wednesday, March 5 beginning at 5 p.m. in the IRC Connector.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is a reenactment of the Women’s Suffrage March of 1913 that took place in Washington, DC. Delta Sigma Theta will present the march as a tribute to the suffrage movement that helped women gain the right to vote, own property and enter skilled professions.
